Council Goes Camping

Hunger exists, even in Texas. The average percentage of the population below the poverty line within 21 counties of the Central Texas region is 15.4 percent. According to the Feeding America’s preliminary data, 17.8 percent are estimated to be food insecure. However, multiple efforts are being made to relieve the issue hunger in the community.
